I do most of my illustration on Procreate but during this assignment my Ipad was broken and still is as of writing this. The first thing I did was let the project completely take over and let myself run loose with inspiration. After a bit I crashed and looked at it from a wider perspective. What I could actually do by the end of the semester. A 24 page limit. Cutting the idea down into something digestible within the current larger idea. What came from that is Notes From Highest, A collection of writing, photographs, and illustrations to paint a picture of a slim part of the world that makes up KILL THE MACHINE. The thing that matters the most is getting things done. I did all my work on the cover within Adobe Illustrator and Indesign. To sand off the edges of this large idea but to still let the shadow hang over. To give myself room to move in the future.
